BIO

Mohamed Fofana is a self-taught eclectic artist and yoga instructor born in the Ivory Coast, West Africa. He was raised in Memphis, TN and currently resides in Los Angeles, California where he create arts and is one of the best hot yoga instructor in the city.

His hot yoga classes have become must attend classes where his cult following flock to take his classes from the Valley to Hollywood. He incorporates 20 years of athletic experience from track and field, basketball, and tennis into his teaching style which makes it unique from all other classes. His exuberant energy, eclectic playlists and motivational attitude have helped him build trust with his following. You can catch his classes at Hot 8 Yoga studios in Sherman Oaks, Woodland Hills and Hollywood where he teaches Power, Sculpt and Strength. 

 

He credits San Jose and the Bay Area for reigniting his artistic passions when he relocated there in 2016 to work for the San Jose Sharks. He has designed artwork for the San Jose Sharks celebration of Juneteenth in 2020, designed the Sharks Black History Night jersey in 2021- the first BHM jersey design in NHL history- and was featured in Complex in 2022 for his GOAT Series highlighting the 50th anniversary of Title IX. In February 2025, he did his first live painting in arena for the Ontario Reign Black Heritage Night where proceeds of the painting was donated to the Reign Foundation.  He uses his art to capture the beauty of the people in his world, to champion their story, make them feel seen, valued and worthy of being art.
